Well, the color was right anyway. Here's the deal: Our backyard is full of bluejays that kick the birdseed out of our flat birdfeeder PLATE. So we wanted a BOWL that the birds couldn't kick the seed out of. We were happy with the BOWL we thought we were going to get from the seller. We thought it was going to be a BOWL because the description said BOWL and the picture was of a BOWL. So good, we're getting a BOWL. So we were pretty disappointed when the package arrived and we got another PLATE, not the BOWL we had paid for and that was shown in the picture. We wanted a BOWL. Not a PLATE. What we got was not what is shown. Hope that's clear. Not sure why they sent us a PLATE when they said we were getting a BOWL. Not sure what we'll do yet, probably return it, but we won't buy from the seller again.

I had gotten so tired of watching the squirrels and the black birds go through 3 pounds of food per day. This cage lets the smaller birds in but keeps the "shovelers" on the outside. The larger birds hang on the edges of the feeder or feed off the seeds that fall to the ground. The smaller birds hang around longer since they are safe from the larger birds and cats. Two pounds of seed will last 4-5 days. My neighbor just asked me to order on for her. I like it!

I bought this birdbath about 5 years ago just before moving into my new house. I had to be careful about spending money at that point and I managed to pick it up for $25 at a big box pet store close out. Knowing now what I didn't know then it is well worth the full price. I am so glad I bought it. The light weight made it so easy to handle getting in out of the store, car and into the yard. You just fill the pedestal with a bag of play sand to weight it down. It's durable and attractive. It is holding up very well to the sun and weather after all these years, obviously not your garden variety discount store plastic bird bath. This one comes with a 10 year warranty! I'm glad I gave it a try! My Eastern Bluebirds and others love it!

I HAVE BEEN USING KOZYBIRD BIRDBATHS NOW FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. IN THE BEGINNING, THE THERMOSTAT AND HEATER ELEMENT IN THE BIRDBATH WORKED GREAT, AND THE WATER WAS WARM, EVEN ON VERY COLD DAYS. LATELY HOWEVER, I HAVE PURCHASED TWO MORE BIRDBATHS, AND THE HEATER ELEMENT HAS NOT KEPT THE WATER AS WARM AS PREVIOUS MODELS. NOT ONLY THAT, WHEN I CALLED ALLIED PRECISION TO ASK FOR HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM, THEY FIRST TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PART IN STOCK THAT I NEED, THAT IS THE PLUG FOR THE HEATER ELEMENT THAT GOES UNDERNEATH THE BASIN OF THE BIRDBATH. I ASKED THAT A MANAGER CALL ME, AND THEY SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL. WELL, THEY NEVER DID....SO, I BOUGHT A FARM INNOVATORS BIRD BATH INSTEAD, AND IT HAS WORKED WELL.
I CAN ONLY SAY, THAT ALLIED PRECISION CHARGES ALOT FOR THESE BIRDBATHS, AND THEY SHOULD OFFER THE PARTS AND SERVICE FOR THESE PRODUCTS. AND WHEN THEY SAY A MANAGER WILL CALL YOU BACK, WELL, I EXPECT THEM TO KEEP THEIR WORD. I GIVE THEM A FOUR STAR RATING, BECAUSE OF THEIR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THAT SAID, THEIR PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT, AND KEEPS THE WATER WARM FOR MY BLUEBIRDS EVEN ON THE COLDEST WINTER DAY. OH, ONE MORE THING....MAKE SURE THAT THE EXTENSION CORD THAT YOU USE IS SECURELY FASTENED TO THE PLUG UNDERNEATH THE BIRDBATH. IF IT SLIPS OFF, THE WATER WILL FREEZE UP. YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE PLUG IS SECURELY FASTENED TO THE EXTENSION CORD, AND IT MAY BE NECESSARY TO USE AN EPOXY ADHESIVE TO ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PLATE, AROUND THE PLUG, TO KEEP IT TIGHT. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU BIRDERS....BELIEVE ME, YOUR BIRDS WILL APPRECIATE WARM WATER ON VERY COLD DAYS!!!
