I bought 2 of these. I know they are made for the bird food but I used the second one for the water. My cockatiel took right to it. I showed him the first time and now he is in there all the time without any fear. Great product. The only con I have on this feeder is its hard to get the top done on properl. The little doors that open to either put more feed in the dish or check the lower dish is hard to get them open
