Upon receiving this unique birdfeeder i noticed the sring to hang the feeder was not very good quality.After two days of hanging out in the yard the string had broke and bent some of the sun rays on the feeder. I replaced the line with a stronger cord and have had no problems since then.

Heath Outdoor Products AH-6D Martin House Aluminum Review

The Heath Co. in Michigan which manufactures these purple martin make a solid product. The instructions are pretty good but could be better. Especially in the 'exploded' illustrations in the assembly instruction sheets. All the nuts and bolts are there needed to put the house together. It does take time though. You can't rush through the assembly.
Once assembled and the nuts are snugged up,...you'll have a solid purple martin or barn swallow house for years to come. Of course it's up to the birds if they want to nest there or not!

The hummers seem to love sitting on the clothesline and then fly to the feeder.
Yes, these feeders don't hold a lot of nectar but the hummers in my area seem to like them ALOT!! I'd rather add nectar daily than waste anymore $$ on more expensive and larger feeders.
