This may be the perfect squirrel feeder for pole mounting (pole mounting hardware would need to be purchased separately).

I needed a replacement for an existing feeder. I originally got one made out of recycled plastic, which is a very nice feeder, but due to the pole mounting I'm using, the squirrels didn't like it much. Probably because it was difficult to grab on to when jumping to it. This feeder looked good and I'm even more pleased with it now that I have it.

Construction is excellent. The use of cedar is great since it will allow this feeder to last many years.

The extra piece on the top gives the squirrels an extra place to sit while eating when pole mounting. It also serves as a convenient carrying handle when bringing it in at night. Note: If you have racoons in the area, DO NOT let this feeder outside at night with food in it or they will destroy it.

If this is your first squirrel feeder, keep in mind that it will take the squirrels some time to figure out how it works. Once they figure it out you'll have hours of entertainment watching them.

Bottom line is this an excellent choice for pole or tree mounting!
