The two part base comes apart easily for a good cleaning then right back together again. The body has 10 ports to allow a large number of hummingbirds to feed at one time. I have ten of the old style 32 oz. First Nature hummingbird feeders. I recently purchased one new style. I like the old style best. The company should combine the good features and produce a great feeder. I don't like the yellow flowers. They draw bees and are more difficult and time consuming to clean. In the Fall I average a gallon of nectar per day, so time used cleaning feeders is an issue. Pipe cleaners are required for cleaning the tiny holes in the yellow flowers, and the flowers need to be removed from time to time so the mating surfaces can be cleaned.

The old style flowers are slightly slotted, so a bottle brush and warm running water over the feeder surface is usually all that's needed to clean the feeder ports.

So, I like the top on the new style and everything else on the old style feeders.
