Over the past 10 years I have found this to be the best Goldfinch feeder on the market. The unique feeding design is what makes these the best in my opinion. Other feeders have a flat tube with round or oblong holes drilled in it. The finches feed fine, but so do every other bird including sparrows and house finches. The Garden Song Goldfinch feeder has a recessed feeding hole which seems to be a perfect fit for Goldfinches with other birds trying but failing to get to the Nyger seeds, which is the only food I put in our feeders. Here in Iowa we have an abundance of Goldfinces, probably why they are the state bird, and our feeders are bery busy year around.
