There were no instructions included on attaching the bowl to the base. In addition, the screw needed to attach the two pieces was loose in the bottom of the box. Thank goodness I checked all packaging materials and found it. When attaching the two pieces, the screw punctured the base of the bowl. As a result, the powder coating popped off so the screw is visible. The bowl evidently is not a solid piece. Wish I would have sent it back to be replaced.
