I received them in good condition; however, they were not packaged in a "mealworm-proof" package, the worms were all in the box loose as well as under the flaps, when I opened the box worms went everywhere. I feel confident I had 1,000 worms as ordered or close enough it didn't matter and I am not sure how you could really package mealworms without them escaping and being loose in the box, unless you used some sort of very fine plastic container that would still allow them to breathe.

I would definitly order from this company again should I need more mealworms, but I am hoping mine will soon be reproducing faster than my little chickies consume them, they love them and go nuts when I give them a dozen or so every couple of days.
