This apple treat suet contains rendered beef suet, millet, apple dices, apple flavoring, oats and corn. Treats will become soft and pliable at 100 degrees if exposed to extreme heat. C&S Apple Treat Suet Review

I go through four or five of these suet blocks every four or five days. I use various brands; based in a great part on their availability at our local stores.
I have tried these offerings and this one in particular, from C&S and found them to be very well accepted. Of course the three species of woodpeckers that are the most active at my feeders are the biggest users but the chickadees and tufted titmouse population seem rather fond of them too.

I use these all year and while there is a marked increase in visits during the winter months, the summer visitors are quite frequent also. With these particular cakes, there is no fear of heat meltdown as you find in some products from other suppliers. The cakes are easy to store, last for ever it seems, and are quite easy to load into the wire baskets I use.

Now, if I could figure out a way to keep the thieving raccoons away from the things! I do not begrudge the furry little guys a meal now and then, but they seem to delight is removing not only the cakes, but the entire basket also!

The only complaint I would have concerning this product here is that the asking price is just a bit steep. You might want to shop around a bit and see what you can come up with locally.
