CC-05R1 Chicken Coop / Hens House Review

This coop was very easy to put together. It was packed well and had all the hardware. It was dinged a bit, but no serious damage from shipping. I intend to anchor it down as it would probably topple over in a very strong wind. It's a nice design, bigger than I thought. There are some things I will fix however as I don't like the nesting box bottom (it would be very easy for a predator to enter the coop through the bottom; the floor of the box just sets down into it and lifts out easily.) I'm sure this was made with easy cleaning in mind, but a clever raccoon or cat would have a feast. Also, the side maintenance door design is not a good one. Again, made for easier cleaning but the door always wants to fall in....I'll have to do something different with that. I did use a heavy duty wood glue at all corners/wall connections, and on the roof. This will be a nice little coop for warm weather, definitely one for above 50 degrees at night. The construction design is okay, but the material is very thin tongue and groove. By the way, anyone who says this coop "fell apart" as soon as it was put together must have done something wrong as mine is doing fine!
