I purchased this feeder as a present for my husband, & we both have enjoyed watching the hummingbirds feed. We have used clear liquid food in it, and we also purchased a hummingbird feeder ant trap. Since we have used the ant trap, the feeder has been ant free. This is a sturdy, glass & metal feeder. Since the three containers hold a small capacity, you may need multiple feeders. We only get a few birds at a time, so it is perfect for us, & can be filled on the tree using a small cooking funnel. We love it!
