This thistle feeder is well made. The goldfinches do use it but since I also have other seed feeders they will tend to use the easier to get at sunflower feeders more than this one. I can't put finch mixes (with sunflower chips) in this because it hangs off my deck in a place where squirrels can get on top of it. The squirrels don't bother this feeder if it is just filled with niger seed. It is easy to clean and overall a good product.
